Elpis at Berlin Revolution Film

It’s with immense joy that I announce the screening of my latest feature film, “Elpis” (2023), at the 7th Berlin Revolution Film Festival. We’re honoured to be a part of the official competition program, and our screening is scheduled for October 22, 2023, at Kino Moviemento, one of Germany’s oldest cinemas located in Kreuzberg, Berlin.

The screening of “Elpis” at the Berlin Revolution Film Festival holds special significance for several reasons. Firstly, my talented cast and crew, Claudia Basrawi and Elika Ostov, will be joining me for a Q&A session post-screening. Secondly, Berlin has played a crucial role in the making of “Elpis”. The film was developed, partially shot, and entirely post-produced in this vibrant city. Finally, I’m thrilled to share this film with my friends, colleagues, students, and the audiences of the Berlin Revolution Film Festival.

I invite all of you who are in Berlin on October 22nd, 2023, to join us for a crisp 4K screening of the film and our Q&A session. Tickets can be purchased online or at Kino Moviemento, located at Kottbusser Damm 22, 10967 Berlin. My sincerest gratitude goes out to Andrija Jovanovic and the festival team for providing us with this fantastic opportunity to screen “Elpis” at this year’s festival.

“Elpis” was generously funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and produced by the Experimental Film Society. It was recently showcased at DokuBaku, Azerbaijan’s first independent International Documentary Film Festival. Following the Berlin screening, “Elpis” will be featured at the 19th edition of the Festival Transterritorial de Cine Underground across various Argentine cities from October 4 to 15. It will also be screened at the Festival Fotogenia in Mexico City from November 22nd to December 3rd, 2023. We will be announcing more screening dates soon.
