Synopsis
Ten Years In The Sun is a kaleidoscope of elusive personal fixations, conspiracies and eccentricities that flicker on the precipice of obscurity, set against the backdrop of an immense cosmic catastrophe. This sensory tour de force weaves together a tribute to the subversive wit of filmmaking legends Luis Buñuel and João César Monteiro with the grandeur of a deliriously unhinged science fiction saga.
Director’s Statement
Over the course of one production year, ‘Ten Years in the Sun’ underwent dramatic transformations and diverged significantly from its original blueprint. This cinematic piece is a unique amalgamation of elements drawn from diverse genres such as science fiction, horror, and erotic drama, all distilled through a radically maximalist lens. My intention was to reach what I term as the ‘nadir of drama’, achieved by methodically stripping away and deconstructing traditional narrative scaffolds. This undertaking was a collaborative effort involving a vast array of talented individuals – collaborators and actors alike. Without their unwavering support and immense contributions, the realization of this film would have been an insurmountable task.
